Hanami

Type: Taisho Romanticism Version Mai- (SD new-type swarikko girl body, pure skin) by Aone.

Birthday: Nov 20th, 2005 (Volks LA Opening Day)

I had always hoped and dreamed that Volks would open a store in the USA. I was so shocked and happy when they announced that they were going to open a store in LA, CA, USA! So close to me and also that they would have FCS and limiteds for us! It seemed too good to be true!

I fell in love with an old 2001 Volks limited named Taisho Romance Megu, but I could never get her. When Volks released the photos of the limiteds for their LA opening, I was floored that Mai (Liz) had Taisho Romance Megu's same kimono! Mai was limited to around 50 or so (not sure exactly.) So really, this doll is a culmination of two of my dreams. Something to commemorate the store I've hoped for for so long, and a doll that reminds me of that beautiful limited I loved. More than that though, Liz is just a heartbreakingly beautiful mold. I thought that I could resist her, but when I saw Mai in person at the Volks mansion, I just couldn't stand it, I had to bring her home.

Mai's name means dance in Japanese. Volks describes her this way: "Her name comes from the image of beauty when she performs dances with music and songs."

My Hanami's name means "flower beauty" roughly. It also can refer to the time period when people go flower viewing in the spring.
