Autumn Irotomesode

Irotomesode high quality silk kimono from the Kansai area. Single-colored kimono, patterned only below the waistline.

Originally this was a karinui (temporarily stitched) kimono.

This vintage piece is in top-notch condition. This piece is an Irotomesode cloth made traditionally for a member of the emperial court or a high nobility. It features a soft cream silk base with a beautifully crafter maple tree with varying shades of blue leaves; a perfect depiction of Autumn. You are sure to fall in love with the amazing softness and beauty of this cloth. This piece has small discoloration spots around the seams but is in otherwise exquisite condition.

The size of the karinui before sewing was: Length is 170cm, Backwidth is 60cm, and Yuki (distance from neck to sleeve hem) is 68cm so the wingspan would be double that at 136cm.
